THE HEART MERIDIAN - YIN
Location of the Heart Meridian: starts at the axilla in the armpit. It travels up the arm and down to the fingertip, where it ends on the inside base of the nail of the little finger.
Heart healthy foods: Bitter greens, scallions, tomatoes, chicory, strawberries & apricots. Quinoa, red millet, mustard, dandelions, onions, rutabaga, turnips, black currants and burdock.
Heart Circadian rhythm: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. This is the time of regeneration for the heart. It is particularly helpful to do exercises and direct healing energies at this time.
Essential oils that support Heart health:
To Lower stress: Balsam Copaiba, Caraway and Champaca CO2.
Lower cholesterol and improve circulation: Cardamom, Cayenne, Cinnamon Leaf, Fenugreek, Lavender Grosso, Marjoram.

THE SMALL INTESTINE MERIDIAN - YANG
The Small Intestine begins on the outside nail of the little finger. It travels up the arm, up to and around the back of the shoulder on the scapula (shoulder blade), then up along the neck to the face. It ends in front of the ear.
Small Intestine foods: Whole grains, beans, vegetables and sea vegetables nourish the small intestine.
Small Intestine Circadian rhythm: 1:00 – 3:00 pm is the time when the small intestine regenerates. It is helpful to do exercises and direct healing energies during this peak time.
Essential oils for Small Intestine health:
Carminative: Anise, Basil, Black Pepper, Caraway, Cardamom, Fennel, Marjoram, Melissa and Rosemary.
For constipation: Fennel, Ginger, Petitgrain, Rosemary, Spearmint, and Holy or Sweet Basil.
